Across the street from the West Westerville Mall, stands a tall building built of bright yellow bricks. Decorated with neon signs, poster upon posters line the walls that face the street. The sidewalk just in front of this building leads the way to an entrance where a ruby red rug covers the floor. Three pairs of double doors, painted the color of brass and decorated with icons of the world of cinema, precede the ticket booths of this grand theater. The Sentinel's shining motto is engraved atop the ticket booth at the center: 'Ever mindful of the illusions!'. This theater was created by Luis McPatrick, a young Westerville resident who decided to open up his own theater after 20 years of work in Hollywood. It is one of the prime attractions for Westerville youths. The Sentinel Theater even hosts it's own horror film festival: A Night in the Void
