Anger still surged through her body as she remembered not a week before the pain and anguish that the fight and breakup between the two; the power couple of New Directions fell harder and faster than anything that Rachel herself had ever seen. Finn got jealous that Rachel was singing a song with Jesse and not only did he throw a fit, Rachel accidentally made a comment about Finn, which didn’t make him happy. “If you had the talent and range that Jesse did I wouldn’t be asking him to sing the duet with me now would i?” Rachel let the words fall over her lips, remembering exactly what she had said – only to hear Finn respond, to which brought a fight between Rachel and Finn where Rachel pulled the necklace ,that had dangled around her throat, viciously off and threw it to the ground, where she soon stormed out, only to be followed by Jesse to pull out one of the best duets that the New directions had ever seen.
Rachel still couldn’t calmly speak when anyone brought up her ex – but her party wasn’t going to be canceled – there was no way that Rachel was going to give up everything she had planned because of what Finn had done. Maybe she had been right all along, in knowing that they hadn’t been perfect for each other. There was always a feeling of confusion when Rachel really thought about it – and it wasn’t until after the fact that she realized she would never go back with Finn. He had broken her heart enough times for her to realize that it wasn’t going to happen. She wanted him, Rachel had, for so very long, that now once she had realized that all she had wanted wasn’t going to happen. That fairytale ending wasn’t coming for her and she should have listened to Quinn before she fell too deep – but just like she had done many many times before, Rachel made herself believe that there was hope for the two of them. But in all realizations, there wasn’t: ever. Now she was either stuck to pick up the pieces or completely move on and not even mend their relationship to even friend or acquaintance status. Right now, Rachel wasn’t in the mood to do anything for Finn, if he wanted anything to do with her he was going to apologize, not her.
Deciding that what she wore last time was neither appropriate, nor good enough – she had Brittany help her this time, knowing that whatever Brittany put her in would be good enough to piss Finn off. The good thing about using Brittany would also mean that she wouldn’t even realize that she was helping her get back at the boy. Though Rachel did seem to feel a bit bad about ‘using’ Brittany, she knew that the girl wouldn’t get too angry, nor would she be upset. Rachel hoped that in turn it would actually bring the two closer together. There were a few dance things that Brittany had gotten a hang of that Rachel had yet to grasp—so maybe the two of them could bond over that. But either way, all Rachel was thinking about at the time being was to get back, and make him feel exactly as she had. Pulling on her rocker-chic clothes, she eyed her phone, counting the number of people who were coming. All of the new directions, including Jesse were coming. Kurt needed a driver, and Finn was the only one to do it. It seemed like Blaine was coming, but she really never knew with Blaine. Puck, of course, was bringing all of the booze, and Rachel was providing the home. There were a few others associated with the club or otherwise that had either been invited or told her she could come. Either way, the home was hers. Seeing as her fathers still trusted her, they left for a five day vacation to Alaska, leaving her alone in her own house.
Perfecting her makeup, and giving it a once over – she realized that she didn’t really look a whole lot like the normal Rachel. Her hair was tousled into curls, which were lose and all over the place. The black both in her accessories and her makeup made the color of her skin pop, and the whole vibe almost gave out kesha without the glitter. Rachel didn’t know really what to expect from everyone, but on their test ride, Brittany said she looked fabulous, and if anything, she could go change. Flouncing her hair once more she heard the people cheering and making their way down to her basement. With a grin on her face, she made her way down the first set of stairs, catching an odd, but appreciative look from a couple members of the glee club as they followed her down into her basement, where liquor and music was already being blasted. She could see Jesse had already made it in, he was watching her from across the room, a look of shock in his eyes. Rachel flipped her hair over her shoulder catching a glimpse of santana’s shocked face before walking up to puck , “you have the…liquor.” She tried to not sound so much like herself, but even through the makeup and the clothes, you could still see the normal Rachel berry. Looking up for a moment, she watched kurt and Finn enter, halfway down the stairs as they both stopped glimpsing her. “Give me the strongest thing you have.” Rachel said over the music, turning back to puck with a glint of annoyance in her eyes.

She hadn't expected to be waiting around the Berry's living room for the hostess by this time in the evening. Being invited was enough of a surprise to her; then again, she was being more aggressive than usual in her campaign for more than half-a page per club this year. The kids at the Yearbook Club weren't hateful but they were still very confused as to why she was pushing so much.
Adjusting her black leggins, which stopped just above the knee, Miki studied the pictures of the Berry family hung on the walls of the living room. Dance recitals, piano lessons, singing recitals, academic awards, the occasional family picnic; it wasn't just Berry who was an overachiever, her fathers were as well. It seemed less like they pushed their daughter into the world of show business and more like she had pulled them along with her. She could see from the bachelor and master degrees that Mr. and Mr. Berry weren't pushovers themselves. She had been wrong to think that Berry had been groomed in this life simply because her parents wanted it; she was born with that insane drive.
That was something to admire.
Watching Berry greet them and take them to the basement, in black shorts that were qualified to act as undergarments was something to admire as well. Miki could never pull of the barely dressed style because she didn't like to expose to much skin; it was good thing she learned that to be sexy and to like how you looked you didn't need to show off too much skin: just the amount you wanted.
The basement was wide and incredibly decorated: there was a hallway leading to the laundry room, a wide bar, comfortable couches and a stage (which seemed to have a backstage as well as curtains). The music was already blaring and the drinks were set up.
"Sheesh, I didn't know they'd be drinking." Being the type of girl who generally avoided large activities (unless there was something in it for her) she was expecting maybe some music, snacks and then a long game of Truth or Dare.
As it stood, with the music turned up to high-heaven and the semi-dimmed lighting, she'd be amazed if it didn't turn into some drunken org-
"Personal note: Do not get smashed tonight."
She had driven here after all and even if a Shirley Temple tasted good she wasn't going to be betting her life on it.
Leaning against the bar, Miki adjusted the strap on her bag, which held her camera.
"At least it'll be memorable." The sophomore thought to herself.

It was time for Rachels party, and Santana was going to make it count. She put on her red dress, black boots and her lacy black underwear. Perfect. She thought. It was Rachels second party and this one was going to be even better than the last, if Santana could make that happen. She curled her hair and then put it up in a messy bun, just loose enough so she could pull it down later when things got crazy. Which she knew they would.
She thought about how everyone would be there and what she would do during the time at the party. A part of her wanted to just take Brittany and ditch up to Rachels room or something and have a little fun, another part of her wanted to avoid Brittany like the plague. Satana sighed, either way Brittany was going to be a main source of Santanas thoughts at the party. As usual. She put on her red lipstick and thick eyeliner-she wanted to be the hottest, sexiest but still the CLASSIEST one at the party. She didn’t know exactly why Rachel had decided to throw this party. But if Puck was coming there would definitely be booze, which Santana was fine with.
After a few moments of staring over herself in the mirror she made her way to Rachels house. She was going to hitch a ride with someone, but everyone seemed too preoccupied in their own party attire. Oh well, she thought, I can make things happen when I get there. She smirked a little as she pulled up to the house. All of those boys AND girls in there just waiting to get wasted and get laid. She wondered where she would end up in all of this.
She had barely made it in the door when Rachel had come down the stairs dressed like; well to be honest she was dressed kind of like Brittany. Which pushed Satanas buttons, and NOT in the good way. One thing she loved about Brittany was her style, and now Rachel was rocking it. Honestly, Santana thought that she looked great. She shook the thought out of her mind and made her way down the stars following Rachel to see the group unfold before her. Rachel went straight to the booze, but Santana kept her eyes open for Brittany. Kurt and Finn came in after her and made a stop-on-the-stair-and-stare moment. Santana scoffed, Finn may be alright in bed, but he sure was dumb for loosing Rachel.

Annie had been invited to a party. A REAL party! She couldn’t stop being excited. She chose one of her less expensive outfits, not wanting to freak people out, but still wore her diamond jewelry. Some people would find that stupid, but she had plenty so what was the big deal? She took a good three and a half hours getting ready since Rachel had so kindly invited her. She is so nice! Annie thought. She usually only saw the best in people anyway. She could not wait to meet new people. Especially the boys at her new school. In her old private school she hadn’t met ANY that weren’t either gay or jerks. Not that she minded gay boys, she just couldn’t date them. Obviously. She shook her head, trying to take her mind off of her old school. She was at McKinley now and it was her new life. She hoped more than anything that she could find a hip-hop tutor at this party. Rachel had to know other dancers…right? Right. Annie just left her hair in its natural wave and put on her electric blue Louis Vuitton heels. Sure the shoes cost over three hundred dollars, but they were cute. She hoped nobody would notice. Sadly, Annie had to lie to her parents about where she was going. That night at dinner she executed her plan: ’I really have to practice hard this week mom, our tour starts in a month.’ Annie had said to them. Her mother smiled widely, ‘You are always practicing so hard dear! Of course. Stay as long as you need, but call us when you are going to come home, alright?’ Annie nodded, smiling.
She smiled even wider as she got in the car, her governess Accalia driving. That was far too easy to fool her parents, but they always were fooled if Annie brought dancing into the picture. Their perfect little Ballerina. She chuckled under her breath as the car pulled up to Rachels house. “Promise me something Annie.” Accalia turned to face Annie, suddenly serious. “Yes?” Annie didn’t even look at her. She was too busy staring at the house that was about to become a huge part of her life. Her first real party. She could barely concentrate on Accalias words until Accalia slapped her knee and Annies focus shot in her direction, “What!?” Annie snapped, and then retreated apologetically into her seat. Accalia looked at her sternly, “I will not tell your parents about this party, of course. But you have to text me every hour to tell me you are safe and,” her seriousness deepened and her eyes seemed to bore into Annies soul, “Do. Not. Drink. Any. Alcohol.” She stared Annie down for a few moments before facing forward again, “Now go have fun. Love you.” She said almost matter-of-factly. Annie nodded vigorously and opened the door. After she closed it behind her she looked into the window. “Accalia, I won’t do anything I’ll regret.” She said softly before turning around and facing the house. But I plan on making this night worth my while. The sinister part in Annie chuckled and she hoped Accalia didn’t here as she marched up to the door and entered the house. Bam. Music and voices hit her like a brick as she shut the front door behind her. It looked like the majority of the party had gone downstairs, so Annie followed suit. She could smell the booze almost immediately and for a second almost made a mad dash for the door. But she was already here. She was going to leave that easily. As she made her way down the stairs the first thing she noticed was Rachel at the bar looking…like a stripper. A high end stripper. Annie laughed a little , I obviously didn’t dress appropriately. She thought. Then she saw a girl leaning against the bar who looked observant and, to be honest, a little more friendly than the loud crowds of people. Especially that Latina girl in red by the stairs who looked like she could murder in cold blood any second. Annie made her way to the bar and looked at Rachel and the girl leaning on the bar. “Hey Rachel, thanks for the invite. Great party!” She wasn’t sure if her voice could even be heard over the music.

Brittany shook her head as she stared back at her reflection in her full length mirror; she had just finished curling the ends of her hair. As much as she missed being a part of the Cheerio’s, she loved being able to wear her hair down, it made her feel so damn free. Her makeup was already done; she always kept it light, mainly eyeliner, mostly because she had a tendency to mess up in the process of doing other stuff, so she kept it simple. She tilted her head in two different directions before admitting to herself that she was satisfied with the face in her reflection, a light smile never leaving her face. She skipped towards her bed, in which her clothes for the extravaganza laid, and started to put each article of clothing on. Brittany was more than excited for this party, it had been awhile since the entire glee club had a party, and even though it was still odd that Rachel was the one throwing it, Brittany always had a blast! Brittany loved parties and she always let loose, and what made her more excited was that Rachel had asked the blonde for assistance in her attire for the occasion. The last time, even though Brittany didn’t want to exactly say anything, Rachel wasn’t necessarily the best dressed at the party, so Britt was more than ecstatic to assist her in choosing her clothes for the party. She actually did enjoy playing dress up with Rachel, it was fun, and she loved that someone was actually interested in her opinion and fashion sense. The two had so much fun on their shopping trip, Brittany even chose to wear something similar to the occasion, but she wasn’t going to wear the same thing. She had to wear something more… Brittany-esque. She had an off the shoulder white top, ripped up daisy duke styled shorts, and small two inch white heels. She posed twice in the mirror and smiled, clapping lightly at the result, ”I’m ready to partaaaaay!!!”, she imitated Kristen Wiig from the movie Bridesmaid.
Brittany needed a good night out, he had been growing through her own issues with Santana, and still trying to mold up a friendship with her ex, artie. She knew that they both would be there, but drunk Brittany always had the time of her life and she knew she didn’t have to worry about her getting emotional or yelling out the truth about anything. She knew she would have to fight herself from jumping Santana’s bones at the party, but she’d deal with it when the situation came to be. She just wanted a good night out with her close group of friends and alcohol. She had gotten a ride from Finn, Kurt being the other passenger, so she wasn’t worried about not being able to get hammered. When they arrived she walked in behind the boys, letting her hair flow flawlessly as the light breeze hit her. Her eyes wondered around and she let her eyes skip along Santana, she knew the latina didn’t want anyone to know about them and she respected it, so she knew she had to keep a certain distance between the two. She patted Finn lightly on the shoulder in thanks for the ride and made her way to Puck, Rachel and the booze. ”Rach, you look hot!”,she commented as she approached them and looked towards the alcohol, she was more than ready to just get crazy. ”Hey Puck” she smiled and grabbed a bottle of vodka and a red cup, preparing her mixed drink. ”Rach, I’ll make you your first drink!” she said happily as she grabbed another red cup and made them both drinks.
Minutes later she handed Rachel a cup and had her own cup up in the air, ”Cheers to another Rachel Berry party?”. she said with a grin and touched cups with Rachel before taking a long gulp of her drink. She was happy to see Rachel in a different light, especially after her recent break up with Finn. Brittany liked Finn, but Rachel and Finn were such a roller coaster it was hard for the blonde to keep up with the two. It was like they were better off with other people, but Britt loved them both as friends so much, she never wanted to say anything about the topic. She smiled big and felt the alcohol touch her tongue, she walked over to the stereo and turned up the volume and let her hips do the rest.

We've got to leave!” Kurt heard a muffled voice behind the door and rolled his eyes before taking one last look at his outfit. ”Finn. Fashion takes patience. I'll meet you in the car, alright?” He reached up and put a strand of loose hair back into place. He was still missing the one piece, the finishing touch. His eyes closed for a moment and he racked his brain of all the accessories he owned. ”The black scarf I wore last year...” He whispered and turned around to walk into the massive closet. The scarf was soon tied around his neck loosely and he was out the door, probably to Finn's surprise. It usually took Kurt another twenty minutes after shooing the tall quarterback out the door to wait in the car. Kurt climbed into the passenger seat of his Navigator and buckled his seatbelt. Finn wasn't bad at driving at all – he was actually more careful than Kurt – but Kurt didn't really want any type of fine for driving without a seatbelt. ”Make sure you're buckled up, mister.” Kurt muttered and leaned forward to insert his Lady Gaga CD into the player. He switched to Born This Way and automatically started dancing (to the best of his ability, because he was buckled up in his seat, after all.) to the same routine he had helped the rest of the Glee club figure up last year. It was one of his favorite performances by far.
”So, you getting drunk tonight? Or designated driver, per usual? He asked Finn in between songs. He ended up switching the song to one of his favorites, Heavy Metal Lover. Well, he actually didn't have any 'favorite' because every Lady Gaga song was brilliant in his eyes, but it was one he preferred over the rest at the moment. After almost slapping Finn in the face with a few more dance moves and practicing his claw, they pulled into Rachel's driveway. Kurt jumped out of the car and followed Finn into the house, which Rachel said was unlocked. They walked down to the basement.. and Kurt's jaw almost literally dropped to the floor at the sight of Rachel. She was dressed in a very skimpy pair of shorts which were barely noticeable under her large shirt with a heart printed up front. And her heels were possible larger than the pair Kurt attempted to pull off a few years ago during their Bad Romance performance. He gave a low whistle and walked over to make himself comfy on one of the couches. ”Looking nice, Rachel!” He called over his shoulder.
After hearing Rachel yell about wanting something to drink, he stood back up and walked over to Rachel. ”My only request tonight is that you play some Lady Gaga. Anything from her new album. Which,if you don't have, is up in my car.” He raised his eyebrows at the sight of her long fingers curled around a cup of some type of nasty smelling alcohol, deciding that he really didn't want to drink. Unless he was absolutely sure someone completely aware of their surroundings would be taking him home that night. But still, drinking would mess up his moisturizing routine. He scrunched his nose up and smiled a little at Rachel. His gaze lingered around the room as someone called his name, or that's what he thought he heard. Instead, he noticed Puck downing some drinks over at the counter and a girl he hadn't seen before walk past.

Rachel should have known that the music would have been this loud, she did sort of hear it in her room so Rachel shouldn’t have doubted the noise. But the blaring was almost too much. From all of her experience, her one party, Rachel didn’t know if the music was this loud last time, but last time the beginning of the party wasn’t this hard core. Having already decided that she was going to throw this night away she nearly floated down the stairs, her shirt tickled its way up her sides each time she nearly hopped down to the next stair. Of course the first thing that she was going to do was find someone to talk to, even though she was pinned up to make Finn look and stare, hoping to even wish he hadn’t done what he had done. Rachel was past seeing what she had done, and was still angry at him. Maybe, she would even use her looks to bedazzle one of her own. Jesse St James; even though it didn’t seem like he needed any dazzling, even Rachel could see that he wanted her still. It didn’t matter. She wanted this, she wanted to make sure that even if he was upset that she earlier had decided on Finn, that now she might have him.
Sending a smile Jesse’s way, Rachel turned on her heels, walking through the crowd, laughing and smiling to people who stopped her and had to make sure it was her. Quick banter would go on between them before Rachel would move on just a few more feet before it happened again. It was a slow cycle that Rachel somehow enjoyed. Sure, she normally didn’t dress like this, but everyone started paying attention to her when she did. It was almost incentive for her to do it herself. Finally getting to Puck, she tried to open her mouth for him before she heard Brittany behind her, her words making the tanned skinned girl’s lips turn up in a smile. Spinning, Rachel caught a look at the blonde, well look there, Rachel thought as she caught a glimpse of brittany’s attire. “Why thank you! And you look really good yourself. We match! We should do this more often! We could be sisters.” Rachel laughed at the thought and realized how tall Brittany could be, no matter how many inches her heels gave her. But even as Puck gazed her down, Brittany spoke, mixing drinks like a pro at the bar. “Have you ever thought of doing that professionally?”
Rachel giggled in amusement as Brittany turned around. Of course she didn’t think that the girl would ever try to do something like that—Rachel could see her drinking, but not letting others drink. She would have to be in the party, and not just watch it. With a simple grab, Rachel held the mixed drink in her hand and peered into the cup. “What’s in it…?” Brittany didn’t answer, gazing her down and waiting for her to take a sip. Grasping the cup with both hands Rachel brought the plastic mug to her lips and let the liquid fall between her lips and down her throat. Everything happened so fast she didn’t even know which hit her first. The strong taste that seriously left an after taste, or the sting of the alcohol as it burned down her throat, “Oh my.” She looked down at the drink closing her eyes. fuck it she murmured as she tipped the drink again and took the whole drink in the second gulp. As soon as the plastic left her puckered lips, she grinned, giggling holding her glass out for Brittany, “Another.” A big smile filled the girl and she handed her another. With a second sound of a voice Rachel turned, keeping her balance though her head was spinning, the alcohol sloshing around in her cup. “Kurt! When did you get here!” she asked innocently, leaning over and kissing his cheek. Rachel grinned at his request. “I have the cd…” She looked lightly confused as she looked over to her sound system, “but…I think its up in my room” to tell you the truth, she couldn’t remember if it was in her room or down here. Pulling the cup to her lips, a grin fell across the ruby red lips that she wore, lipstick sticking against the rim of the cup as she let the cup fall down far enough for her to speak, “You put it on if you need it – but it should be on the playlist.” She said pointing over to the system where her laptop was connected to the speakers. Rachel looked at Kurt for a moment longer an giggled, “But I won’t be playing any broadway tonight. So – yeah.” She waved by to him as he walked away and turned back to the bar, Brittany missing, but a different girl in her place. Rachel couldn’t really recognize the girl, but the girl seemed to know her, in fact, the girl said that she had invited her. A tilt of the head and a gasp later Rachel gasped, “Oh Annie! Hey! You made it!” looking her over quickly she tried not to make any snap decisions, but instead she held her arms out and reached around the girl hugging her. “I’m glad you made it.” She said carefully, making sure she didn’t spill any of her liquid before pulling away and taking a quick sip of her drink. The liquid still burned as it fell down her throat, but the taste had gone away, a bit of a numbness taking its place. With her big brown eyes blinking at the girl she turned, standing beside the girl as she spoke to her, “have you met anyone yet…?” Rachel eyed jesse and a smile fell on her face. She prayed he’d come to her, but if she had to she would buck up and make her way over to him. With the strong base in the background Rachel couldn’t help but move a bit as she waited for an answer, her eyes still locked on the boy. Finn didn’t even want to attend the party anymore, yes, the second Rachel Berry party. The two had broken up about a week ago and things had been tough for the male, he had his heart shattered and he knew it was going to be hard if he went. Would she even want him there? Would she kick him out? Wait, why should she be the one to be mad at him? She was the reason they broke up, if she hadn’t insulted him so carelessly they wouldn’t be in this situation right now. She had hurt his feelings, pushing buttons that usually got Finn riled up but finally, she had crossed the line. Finn hated Jesse with the passion, and the fact that she had used him to insult Finn, just threw Finn over the edge, resulting in their breakup. He really thought that this time the two would last, he loved her with all of his heart and he had fought for her on several occasions, but still, they managed to destroy their relationship. Sure, she wasn’t his first love, but she was the one that he was quite sure about, at least he thought she was. She had made him a better person, a better performer, and she had helped him discover things about himself, that he never knew he could accomplish. But maybe they were one of those love stories that weren’t supposed to last? Maybe they were just a chapter in each other’s life story? A chapter that left Finn heartbroken and more lost than ever, a chapter that Finn wasn’t ready to have end quite yet.
Finn had already told Kurt back when the party was announced that he’d give him a ride and because of the many things Kurt had over him, he wasn’t going to not give him a ride. He even debated just dropping him off and picking him up later, but after a lot of thinking, he wondered if there was a possibility that Rachel would come to her senses and apologize to him for what she had said. Yeah, maybe she would. I mean, she always did, right? She knew she was wrong, right? How on earth could their breakup be his fault? He managed to convince himself that Rachel would apologize and they’d be back together by the end of the night. Kurt was taking forever and Finn couldn’t help but knock on the bathroom door constantly to hurry him. Kurt was such a diva and it bothered Finn that he took so long to get ready. He waited by the car and Kurt finally showed up, hopping into the passenger seat. Finn had to stop at Britt’s house before Rachel’s, mainly because he had told the blonde he’d give her a ride as well. He knew how drunk and wild she got when under the under the influence, and was more than willing to take the responsibility of making sure she got home afterwards. Finn was never a big drinker and was often recruited to be the designated driver. He didn’t mind it much, hell, he still had his fun, watching his friends make fools of themselves.
Finally arriving to the familiar place, there was a feeling in his stomach as he put the gear into park. Kurt and Brittany were already so excited to finally be there, but Finn couldn’t help but get a bit nervous. This whole scenario could either go bad or good, either way; he could only hope he was mentally prepared. He got out of the car, walking behind his two passengers, his nerves getting the best of him. ”If I leave, just… call me to come pick you guys up,” he said before someone finally let them inside, he walked inside slowly, looking around, mainly looking for Rachel. He was looking for a long 40-50s looking dressed girl, but didn’t find that. Everyone was already starting on the drinking and by the time he finally spotted Rachel, Brittany had beaten him to her, already starting to mix them both a drink. Finn’s jaw slightly dropped as he caught Rachel’s attire in his gaze, his ex-girlfriend looked different, and it was definitely in a very good way. Was the girl trying to tease him? Was she trying to show him what he missed out on? Or was she going to make up with him and this was his prize? So many wonders were running through his mind, but he couldn’t be the one to approach her first, she had hurt him and she was the one that needed to apologize, right?
Finn bit his lip and walked off to the side, making himself a drink which only consisted of fruit punch. He couldn’t help but keep his eyes on Rachel, she looked so damn good, and for once, he wasn’t able to indulge in it and just wrap his arms around her appreciating her new image. It was definitely a step up from her last party attire, and it only made him feel more bad for not being with her at the moment. A part of him wanted to just say sorry and forget what had happened, but his dignity made him want to stand his ground and have her be the one to apologize first. He stepped off to the side, leaning on a wall, sipping his drink, and trying to avoid staring at his ex too much.

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place ) As Quinn arrived at Rachel’s house, she couldn’t help wondering why she had agreed to go. Not only was it the house of someone she didn’t necessarily like, but it was also going to be the gathering place for just about every single person that was causing a problem in her life right now. In fact, after realizing she’d be seeing both of her exes with their new loves – even though Finn and Rachel had broken up last week – and realizing that going to the party probably wasn’t in her best interest, the blonde had seriously debated staying home. Her constant pacing and attempts to make a decision had made her late already, so she’d seen no point in attending. That was, until her mother had reminded her that not going meant she was weak and couldn’t handle herself. After that, Quinn had forced herself into the shower and got ready to go with a new determination to show everyone that she wasn’t going to let something as small as seeing someone she loved pine after someone else get her down. She was still Quinn Fabray, and Quinn Fabray never backed down or let anyone see her down. She was still the headstrong, confident ex-Cheerio that she was last year and she was going to remind everyone at that party of just that, even if she was dying inside. That was her new goal, and she was going to stop moping and start living the amazing life she’d had again. Plus, she was looking forward to watching her fellow Glee members make fools of themselves under the influence – especially Rachel, who she’d discovered was one of the most amusing drunks Quinn had ever met.
As she parked the car and made her way to the front door, she was glad to see that she wasn’t actually the last one to arrive and quietly slipped in when the door opened. As she got to the top of the stairs leading down to the party, she stopped to take a breath before descending them slowly. Once she’d gotten all the way down, she saw that the party was in full swing and everyone in attendance so far already had a drink in their hand. This was pretty much exactly how the last party had been, minus Rachel’s drink tickets, and she quickly slipped her coat off and placed it on a couch before scanning the room properly to see who was there. Rachel and Brittany were off near the center, appearing to have already gotten a huge head start. As her eyes were about to continue scanning the room, however, her attention was caught by Rachel’s outfit. She was dressed the way Brittany dressed, and Quinn narrowed her eyes in annoyance. Since when did Rachel Berry, queen of the old lady outfits, ever wear something trendy like that? It was not a sight that Quinn enjoyed and she frowned before letting her gaze move on. She saw a few girls she didn’t know lingering in a corner and Kurt standing off to one side, apparently trying to decide if he wanted to drink or not. Then she turned and her gaze fell on Finn, standing alone and looking longingly at Rachel. At this she sighed but covered it with a small smile in his direction before continuing her scan of the room so their gazes wouldn’t lock on each other. That was when she saw Santana, and decided that would be her first stop as far as socializing. Brittany was occupied talking to Rachel, and she didn’t want to talk to Kurt because of the circumstances. Maybe she’d talk to Finn later, but she wasn’t going to while he was staring at Rachel like that.
So, pausing at the counter, she quickly poured herself an alcohol-free drink and slowly made her way across the room to join Santana. Her friend seemed to be scowling in Brittany and Rachel’s general direction. “Hey, San” she greeted, leaning against the wall beside her friend and following her gaze. Then she took a sip of her drink and flipped her hair back over her shoulder. It had grown out a bit over the summer and she liked the length it was at now. It made her look mature without being too short, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. “What’s up with Rachel’s outfit?” She asked after a few minutes, slightly taken aback because she wasn’t used to seeing the annoying brunette in anything like that. ”Talk about wanting to be the center of attention,” she thought to herself, trying to keep the scowl off her face. If she was going to be forced to watch Finn stare at Rachel like that all night while everyone else got drunk, she definitely wouldn’t be staying long. The only thing keeping her there right now was the fact that her two best friends were there, and Sam wasn’t so she didn’t have to deal with any of that drama. Now watch me while I walk away. A familiar pair of legs made their way down the stairs and Santana looked away before the torso, head and eyes followed. Brittany crossed straight over to Rachel and Santana finally looked up. Holy. Shit. Santana thought as she saw Brittanys outfit; the short shorts and the off shoulder top. Santana just loved the way Brittanys color bone showed and she bit her lip. She had no idea how she was going to resist Brittany tonight. Another body shot couldn’t hurt, right? Santana smirked at the thought but pulled her face back to neutral when she remembered how incredibly public this place was right now. She glanced around the room and tried to plan exactly what her plan was for the night. She would get drunk; definitely, she wouldn’t miss the chance to erase lifes most recent unpleasant events from her mind.
She pondered over whether or not to get a drink right now. Brittany and Rachel had both gotten theirs and a pathetic skinny little thing was leaning against the bar looking as if she had no idea what she was doing there. When Rachel hugged the girl Santana just assumed it was some long lost friend or something. She decided it wasn’t worth paying attention to and turned her attention to Finn. Looking long and lost in the corner, the boy seemed almost appealing to Santana. She shook her head, No, not doing that again, she thought to herself. She brought her gaze back to Brittany and decided everyone was too busy to notice her staring.
Her moment was saved/ruined by the entrance of Quinn. Santana actually let out an audible sound of relief when she saw the blonde slowly coming down the stairs. Finally, someone she trusted wouldn’t drive her up the wall at this party. Santana didn’t have to move a muscle, Quinn came to her. “Hey Quinn, thank God you’re here.” Santana replied, and she meant it. She was very grateful for her ex-cheerio captain and friend. She chuckled a little at Quinns tone about Rachel, San nodded. “The only thing up about that outfit is that it’s riding up her ass.” Santana stated in a matter of fact tone as she eyed Rachel. San shook her head. “I mean honeslty, how many guys is she hoping to get laid with tonight?” Santana turned towards Quinn and actually took a look at her outfit. The flower print dress and white theme was very…Quin. Santana smiled, “You look great Quinn!” Santana exclaimed sincerely. It was nice to have a break from staring at Brittany and talk to Quinn for a while. Until she got wasted and drowned out all of her memories.
