Hi, my name's Melinda, but most everyone calls me Mel. I live in Queensland, Australia, where I work as a Group Leader in a child care centre.
Writing is definitely my escape, but due to my busy days at work, I sometimes get a little drained, but always manage to post regardless.
Glee is definitely my 'it' show right now, despite us being 4-5 episodes behind America. My other favourite shows are: The Vampire Diaries (but haven't had season 3 here at all), Stargate SG-1, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, plus many more. But they are my top show. I have gotten into British shows as well (Misfits, Skins, The Inbetweeners).
Favourite actors: Nicolas Cage and Anne Hathaway. Favourite artists/bands: Taylor Swift (obviously), The Script, Backstreet Boys, Adam Lambert, plus so much more. Favourite authors: Meg Cabot and Nicholas Sparks.
If you want to know anything else, you just have to ask :)

Hehe - that is pretty cool. How long do you have to go till you finish your course? I have been in the industry for just over 11 years now, and despite the usual ups and downs, still love my job. I am working with babies this year.
Thanks for the welcome, Joe :) And sure, I have put up a plot page, but will need to put up a 'wanted' thread page up soon.

It's a two year course, and I've almost finished my first year :) hoping to go on to university and either study social work or be a group leader in a nursery. Love those little rugrats! haha :)
I'll check out your plot page, because Charlie is dying for things to do. Also, if Hayley wants a job, check the wanted section. There are jobs going at Charlie's family's shop :)

child care sounds like a lot of fun! i decided not to go into child care and went for the double major double minor route with TESL instead, but i still will be working with kids, just with foreign languages. and welcome to the site if i havent already said that. open arms to you and your characters.
i would have rachel plot with you but shes currently not at the same school. haha maybe we can still get something up if you wish. :3

It is fun, but still a lot of work, especially this year so far working with babies. But it is very rewarding as you see them doing quite a few things before they move onto the next room after they are a year old. And sounds like your work would be the same.
And thanks :D
I am sure something can be arranged in the way of threading... the shopping might be better for things to do with music in her neck of the woods :)
